    Definetly change that voltage regulator don't get it from one of the chain stores. Pay the extra $2 and get it from your local NAPA or the Mom and Pop shop up the street. I just had this same problem. I pulled the negative cable off the battery and got my son to hold the meter between the negative cable and the negative terminal on the battery. and it was pulling 3 amps, I pulled all the fuses out and it was still pulling 3 amps. So once I did that then I knew it wasn't anything inside the car on the fuse block. I then unplugged the brand new voltage reg and the drain droped to 0.0000
    Went and got another Voltage reg and it worked for one day and quit. Then replaced that one with one from NAPA and been ok ever since.

    yeah i think the one I have is on the fritz as it' being inconsistant. it's not a great one. Madman in your maverick where'd you locate the fusebox. I found a couple standalone fuses so far but im still digging
