Glad it went well... I spent the day changing out the junk Edelbrock for a Holley....
Changed the junk new edelbrock out for a new Holley carb... Had to mod the throttle bracket and make a trans kick down bracket... Drove the heck...

OK could it be where I put my dizzy vacuum ? I wanted to try the manifold vacuum... I just switched it back to the timed vacuum side...

manual choke, I checked the vacuum lines all seem OK... It is also back firing through the carb on first start up...
I just put a new edelbrock 1405 600cfm on the mav. It ran OK for about 10 miles then started to have a dead spot when I would leave from a light....
Put on a new carb, changed the oil and filter and installed my new steering wheel...
If the car checks out, ill head up... I have to leave around 4 am to get there on time...

I have a old points dizzy with pertronix... Do I use the timed vacuum port or the manifold vacuum port on the edelbrock carb ?
Got a spare tire in the trunk now... Also picked up a new Edelbrock 1405 manual choke 600cfm carb.... I'll put it on tomorrow...
