An exhaust leak can sound like a "tapping" noise....so check for that.

I believe gas pumps "pump" the gas faster than back in the 1970's.
I find pumping the gas as slow as possible....and clocking the gas pump at about the 4 o'clock position helps as well.

I really can't tell from a picture. I always double check my wheels by putting them on a disc brake rotor to see if it fits over the hub.
