Everett, check the trans moodulator valve and the vacuum line to it. Just a check before getting deeper, can`t be too thorough. Hope all is well...

I used one from a '91 Ranger. It needs the holes widened a tiny bit, but works well. Does use metric fittings, but not too hard to make it work....

An early Mustang shifter works perfect for this, and better without the trans hump. Shifter us smaller and fits on the floor better.
