if it has a roller cam you need a steel gear, most 302's made after about 1985ish flat tappet cams use an iron gear id imgine at this point...

well in that case out the side but after the rear tire is my choice then
another 50 bucks for a used intake and a few dollas for gaskets would be a wise investment
