Got the intercooler mounted today, started thinking about the piping and can only come up with one solution. Cut a hole in the inner fender well...
There should be 2 loops attached to the head for removing the engine. And you shouldn't need to cut the rad support to get it out.
Not mavs but you get the idea.
Put some crager D windows on soft 8s on it, would look sick on a shiney black car. Would give it a cool stock car look.

My 73 door door had a 2.79 in it. Not really a big difference between the two anyway.

The stock filter diameter was too big, but the motorcraft fl400s is about 1/2 in smaller in diameter, it fit perfectly

Sounds like the socket is corroded or melted for the bright filliment.
Welded the the return bung in, made the return line today, also repainted and install oil pan.
Not much done lately wrapped the headers and crossover, made the oil feed line, and removed the oil pan to weld in the return bung. Please ignore...
