I have an ac 75 Maverick and a 72 non ac Comet. The alt bracket is the same on those two cars.

Replaced the accelerator pump on the carb, fixed front right broken self adjuster for the brakes, got a state inspection, and insurance.
Replaced the shift lever seals and front servo gasket. Ready for state inspection, I hope.

These look like the one from my 70 Mustang, which I think was used from 69 - 73. You can get them for around $40.
Neither the front or rear side marker lights are working on the Comet. Does someone have a wiring diagram for the lights?
I don't know if it was factory, but it looks pretty close. It is not a heavy metallic, if it is not in direct sunlight you would probably not be...

I believe the AZ of the D4AZ prefix indicates an LTD. Mustangs are ZZ.
Replaced the Grant GT wheel with a factory three spoke leather wrapped and fixed the horn wiring back to the factory setup.

Replaced the leaf springs and rear shocks.
Definitely change the steering setup as well.
Sounds like you might be better off making the car do 140 in reverse.
