a 100 amp alternator really helps out over our 35 amp or whatever original was... a better amp alt helps wake up the standard halogens let alone...
Try this....sometimes this helps locate the problem. shut the car off and shift it , if it shifts fine not running then it could be the throwout...
if its gonna be a 1/4 mile car look into some drag shocks that will help it lift and plant, but if you're not spinning as it is, i dunno if it'll...
