If the converter wasn't in all the way would I be able to push it back from the plate it mounts to , because it pushes back easily
Mine doesn't look like that , my ring gear is welded to the converter, the washer looks the same though, and that is the way I have it
Does the small ring go on the crank first ?
Yes only one and it's lined up , do you know what the name of the part is that the converter bolts to?
1970 200 w/ automatic, changed torque converter because the ring gear had some bad spots on it ( worn teeth) now when bolted back up the engine...
It actually went in from underneath no problem, with the car on a lift just lowered the body down.
