Put some motive gear 3.40 gears in my comet with new bearings. Backlash .008, pinion bearing preload .015 inch lbs, grease pattern looked OK....

Mustang II manifold does work on the passenger side. Keep the maverick manifold on the drivers side. It is the same as the mustang hipo manifold.
Well I already have the all the parts off a 71. I now have a 76 comet I'm trying to convert. All gearboxes have the same spline count.
