I agree not something you do not want to mess with If you are not sure what you are doing.:hmmm::hmmm:
I have front disk and rear drum backs. One a 74 comet and one 74 mav. Both are converted drum to disk. Neither have power system and they worked...
What ever was in the car before the swap, they were a drum/drum cars now they are disk/drum cars, I used the same block or valve with no problem.
I have used the stock valve on two front brake swaps with no problem.
You must drop the fuel tank. Then the cover pops off . We used to put tires on with a couple of crow bars, but believe me it is easier with a press.
I do not have a picture,But I have a cover on my maverick and it looks very good. I had my comet dash re-covered and it looks better I think.
I think the bumper tuck looks good. Would like to do that to my comet.
:hmmm::hmmm:
Start new thread. That way the new problem(question) can be in the highlighted area.
I must be a money miser. I would replace only what is needed. I go by the saying,If it ain't broke don't replace it.
How far do the bumpers compress??
Well I guess duct tape is not a cure-all..:huh::huh:
FRANK you are soooo funny:bananaman:bananaman:bananaman
I do a lot of brake jobs for friends and I have never heard of this before. I will try it in the future.
So you put the duct tape between the pad and the caliper??
Great!!! Keeping them coming. One of these days I would like to do it also.
I like that I want to do that to my Comet. Can you write a discription on the process. Did you do it on the rear??
Hey Mad Goon, I like it.
Oh I'm still debating as to what to put behind the seats to cover up the big ol hole that the bench used to... I'm really leaning towards some...
I agree looks good
