RustStop uses electrical impulses to prevent rust from occuring..... no sprays or liquid's at all....

interesting...never heard of it. Is it battery powered, or is it a solid application like adding zinc strips to a ship's hull (I think it is zinc?)?

It's actually a little kit that you hook up to your car battery with 4-8 nodes that go on your car.... if you go to google and type in rust stop you can find the site.....

Sounds a little far fetched to me, but what do I know. I would just get some POR15 or similar.

This sounds sort of like the sacraficial zinc pieces that are attached to the prop shafts of boats. They are attacked by electrolosis instead of the steel or brass parts. Some compaies even make zinc nodes for the cooling systems of cars to reduce the corrosion effects of electrolosis in the cooling systems. Radiators, heads water pumps, hose fittings, etc.

I think what happens is it creates a negative charge on the metal so the iron cannot oxidize..... or maybe im talking out my a**hole, I dunno...I'd believe it if thats what I told me.....
