yea a new motor

    i just baught a 302 to swap for my i6 any body have any suggestions and what mistakes not to do?

    Depends on what year your 302 is on the pully arangement but basically if you bought a complete motor, you can use what is there. You also need a front sump oil pan if yours dont have it. You will need the 302 frame mounts for the Maverick. A V8 trans crossmember is desired for exhaust clearance but you can use the 6 cyl one in a pinch. Also desired is the frame brace which bolts to the bottom of the frame to strengthen it. If yours is the 71, you should already have the threaded holes for it. A radiator for a V8 is a must. Thats the basic stuff, the rest you will find out as you go along

    Not to dissagree...

    But I used my I-6 radiator for my swap.I just completed the whole project. I took the radiator to a friend's radiator shop where he put new cores in it, and then guaranteed that it would cool my V-8. And it does. Cost me $75.00.
