I was told you can fit some pretty fat tires under stock maverick rear wheel wells. I have a 1972, 2 door. I am wondering if I can fit 10 inch wide tires under my rear fenders without tubbing my trunk.

are you talking 10" rim? I had 275/60/15s on 8" rims...no mods and no rubbing.

I have never know it to be said about a Maverick that "you can fit some pretty fat tires under stock maverick rear wheel wells".

The wheel wells are kinda small in my opinion compared to other cars.

i have 17x10s on the rear of mine. the fenders are rolled and pushed out. i have fit 275-60x15s on 15x8s with only rolling the lips. not all 275-60x15s are the same size. my drag radials are bigger than my street tires.
