will a 74-77 harness fit in my 73 with a few mods? the reason im asking is that i got the mav going today fixed the engine bay harness, but now when i hit the brakes all the turn signals come on:16suspect....so tomorrow i'm going to be checking the fuses and pulling the rear harness out to clean it up. also how hard is it to remove the under dash harness w/o pulling the whole interior out? im tryint to avoid another weeks worth of work here. thanks for the help i realy needed it the past 2 weeks. hopefully i'll have good news soon.
they had a bad habit of changing the plugs in mid years of these cars. this goes back to "a '73 doesnt always fit a '73." your best bet is to get the complete wiring from a donor car so that all of it "matches". just my thoughts. good luck
well as it is i have all the tools to replug connectors. only reason for the newer harness is the availability of fuses and most of the circuits are split up more making it easier to trace problems. its just a thought if any thing i'll make a new harness and use my 70 wiring as a guide. my wiring was molested by the previous owner badly. they had it wired for a trailer, and a ****ty sterio job. it's just getting to be a huge head ache.
I do have a 73 I'm parting out. If you are interested in a complete 73 harness I can check this weekend and see what kind of shape it is in. I'm not sure if any of it has been modified or not.
