As this is likely the best attended event other than the Roundup, who's looking at coming this year? I know we and the Dolls will be there and I'm pretty sure Dennis will be also (he never misses it). There's a couple new things in store this year like a police car division (I can't imagine why that'd excite me ). Not to be a teaser ( but I'm going to be anyway), but I had a couple of nice conversations with a high level contact I made at Carlisle. You might see a couple Mavericks elsewhere than in our class spots on the showfield. 'Nuff said for now. Just an FYI, if you need to book a motel room, you'd better get hot. I went through several listings online before I found one with vacancies. They're booking up FAST, even the bed & breakfasts. Here's one that doesn't show on the online listings but seems to be one of the last to fill up. I stayed there two years ago and it wasn't bad. Appalachian Trail Inn 1825 Harrisburg Pike 717-245-2242 $85-95/night It's down the other way on Route 11 around the truck terminals, about 10 minutes from the Fairground. I booked at the Super 8 North near the I-81 exit around the strip malls. As of two days ago, they still had rooms, $94.50/ night AAA rate. We're looking to see a bunch of ya then. If you haven't been to this event yet, you don't know what you're missing.
