Just because its NOS doesnt mean its in Great shape. I was picking up a NOS RR bumper at Carlisle this year but when I got there to buy it I found it was in worst shape than the one I already had.
Sometimes, there is a reason the part was never used, like you said. I worked in parts at a Ford dealer in the 80's, the upstairs was full of parts that we ordered, that had blemishes or dents, whatever... But sometimes you luck out. 73 front bumpers are easy to find, you'll find another...
I have a bunch of bumpers at home, but this one was near perfect, few scratches. I forgot to place a bid, went to work and by the time i returned the auction was over!!! I'm kicking myself for it.. Thanks Dave, for the info, I will be more cautious of NOS items..
