What's this? A Comet? Oh my!

    Sure, not Hollywood per say, but take a look at this model engine. See that in the background? THAT AIN'T NO MUSTANG!

    No that's no Mustang, but that is a whole lotta cool. That is great that they chose a Comet as a car to put in the picture with the engine.(y):drive:

    429 Comet

    I would guess that could be a picture of one of Fast Eddie Schartman's cars. There were quite a few Pro Stock Mavericks and Comets with 429s in the early 70's. Go to the "Racing Mavericks and Comets" section of the Gallery and you will see the pictures of them. Mavericks and Comets were the prefered Ford body in the Pro Stock ranks for a while. But then they started to switch to the even smaller and lighter Pinto and Vega bodies around 72-73.

    Oh, I think that's a Maverick with a Comet hood. Somebody musta gave him one of those Comet parts cars...yeah, that's it! :)

    What I like about the ad is that it has a Comet. If it had a Maverick, I would like it, but not as much.
