    If it's got the smaller rear bumper, it's a 73. BIg rear bumper it's a 74-77. Check the first number of the vin if you can. that will tell you the year.:)

    Thanks guys. I know where this is available for $500, has motor (I6) but no tranny, and no speedo cluster, otherwise complete. Will a 1970 C4 tranny fit it? I'm thinking two cars to build one - or heck, start the madness with two cars, why not?

    Interchange of tranny depends on 2 things:

    Which I6 is in the car?
    Which I6 did the tranny come off of?

    170 and 200 use the same bellhousing, while the 250 uses a V8 style bellhousing.
    The C4 has a removeable bell though, so you could just change the bell if it is wrong.
