    Hi all!
I have a 69.5 Maverick with a 302. My motor is nearly finished being built, and i'm expecting ~350rwhp (corrected). On top of that i will be running a 100-150 shot of nitrous. Right now i have a Z-spec T5 that i know won't last long behind my motor. What are my options for transmissions? I've considered a TKO or T56, either of which i think would be up to the task. Any ideas about either of these fitting in the tunnel (especially with my smaller early-year tunnel)? A crossmember is no problem.

Also, if i do go with a t56 (which i'm leaning towards...), what do i do about mating a GM transmission to my little ford? Bellhousing or an adapter?

I've also thought about an automatic, but since my car is already converted to a 5-speed, and they're so much more fun to drive to me, i think i'd like to keep it as a manual.

i would keep it a manual as well. they handle the power better and there is less loss of HP throught the drivetrain.

as far as what tranny...that i dont know... but i would stay manual

For about $1300 you can get a rebuild kit that makes your T5 as strong as a Tremec. I think the place is called G Force Transmissions.
