I am the soon to be (Monday) owner of a 1971 Maverick. I was wondering what kind of times a basicly stock Maverick will run in the 1/8 and the 1/4. It has a 302 with an agressive cam, 4-barrel carb, headers, dual exhaust. I'm pretty sure the gears are stock (That will be one of the first things I change). They are just so much lighter than most cars I expect them to be pretty fast.
    Thank you,
    Jonathon

I was getting 9.4s at 75 mph with a similar setup, but using 3.80 gears.

    I originally had 65 at 10.5 in the 1/8.

That should give you a ballpark figure...

with stock gears, stock stall converter and an"aggressive" cam expect low 10-high 9 sec 1/8 mile times, probably low 15-high 14 sec 1/4 mile.A good converter & 3.55's could possibly shave as much as a full second off of that.
