What oil after first oil change after rebuild?

    I am ready for my first oil change. I used diesel spec oil for a few hundred miles. What should I use now on my first change?

    Any decent multi grade appropriate to your temperature range should be fine.

    I usually just run a 10-40 wt, but whatever they say for your area.:)

    Any good 10w-30 to 20w-50 depending on bearing clearances, temperature extreems, and personal preference. Try to use an oil that is easily and always available in your area so you don't switch araound a lot.
