I have a 70, 2dr, with a 300-6, 3 on the tree. Large sway bars front and rear and factory strut braces (Monto Carlo Bars). I've been lurking on this forum and can't find anybody else with a 300-6. Also looking on Rock-Auto or any other parts site I can't find any parts for the 300-6. If I look at Ford truck sites I find that engine. Also, the wheels are 4X4.5-14's. What appears to be factory caps and rings. The VIN is, OK91T322899, Door DATA plate has been torn off. HELP!!

The 300 was a truck engine. Your VIN decodes as a 1970 Maverick 2 door built at the Kansas City, MO plant with a 200 I6, and was the 222,899th car scheduled for production at the plant for the '70 model year. If it has a 300, it was swapped in there. Someone has added the rear sway bar and I have no idea what you mean by strut braces since these cars don't have struts. All of them came with stamped steel shock tower braces running from the cowl to the top of the shock towers though. Could you post pics?

Thank You Jamie I do appreciate the decode. Can you tell it's been awhile, strut braces, shock tower braces same function. After Knott's I will decide what to do with this car. I have been a Ford guy for over 40 years. Current project is a 83, Mustang, GLX, convertible with a 3.8, auto. A top and paint and it will be a great driver. What about the lug pattern??? 4X4.5-14's

If it has a 300 in it, we'd love to see some pics. That would have been a lot of modifying. :)
