Hey folks, Wolfgang-the guy with the Shelby GT250 pics, he sent me pics of what he thought was another Comet asking me what year it was. It turns out that it has a Maverick front end on it. There is something mounted on the passenger side-US, shock tower that puzzles me. It looks like is may be a factory item, maybe a vacuum cannister/booster. Any guesses? Seth
I might have agreed with you, Seth, but the large diameter braided hose seems too big for just vacuum collection. The metal lines going in look more like brake lines than vacuum. This more resembles a brake booster than anything else, but where's the master cylinder? It would be nice to see a complete underhood view than maybe we can solve this mystery.
Might be a master cylinder for the brakes on an export car, right hand drive. Just a thought, cause I have never seen one.
It looks like a remotely mounted vacuum powered brake booster. The master cylinder does not have to be attached.
Thats what I am thinking....especially with the 2 hard lines running from it. I the Earl is on it.....right hand drive....IMO.
The car would have been made to ship to Britain if it is right hand drive, I thought this car was in France..or the continent... maybe a vacuum canister for power accessories similar to that found under on old T-bird...hell I don't know:confused:
