What do you do with a leftover radiator?

May sound like a dumb question, but what should I do with it?

Don't want to scrap it if it is useable. As hard as some maverick parts are to come by.

Should I hold on to it for sale to another mav owner, or are they easy enough to come by that I should sell it for scrap?

If scrap, how much should I expect for it?

You'll get more money if you wait for someone who needs it shows up, but if you want to get rid of it now.. you'll get less money for scrap.

Put it up for sale on here and see if anybody wants it.

Maverick radiators are not hard to find, and can still be bought brand new. I got about $2 out of a Honda radiator I scrapped, an it was bigger then most Maverick radiators.

If it has the "FoMoCo" top tank, I'm sure someone will take it, and have it re-built for a restoration, they are starting to get harder to find.

Problem is...I typically don't SELL things. I just give them away...plus shipping.

I always knew I could not be a salesman...

I guess what I am saying is...anyone want a radiator?

It has been soaked in muriatic acid to get rid of most of the calcium buildup, and works well for a stock motor :tiphat:

I will gladly take the radiator, mine leaks in multiple areas and i have just been lazy and been refilling it with water. Will it fit into a 6 cylinder car? Let me know what you want to do!!

Yes. The radiator in my '72 (250/C4 drivetrain) is a three core that was previously in Dan Hines' '71 Grabber (302/4 speed). It works great, almost to much cooling for the six.

It is here for the taking. Not sure how bad shipping will be

    PM me.

Moderators may need to move this to Items for Sale, even though I am giving it away (plus shipping and packaging costs).

Fan2488 has agreed to trade the radiator for the headers. So the radiator is no longer up for "grabs".

Just spacers on my 6901s. Trying to get a little more clearance on my driver side spark plugs (gt40p heads with headers are cooking my #6&7 plug boots). I will feel better knowing I have head-gasket-spacer-gasket-header rather than head-gasket-gasket-gasket-header. Less chance of leaking.

Eddie, thanks for posting my pic on your website, and using my description of "more colors than a comic book" (y)
