Well today I changed my heater core because I thought it was leaking. Well it's still leaking. When I rebuilt my engine the water pump I bought has a 3/4 '' pressed in fitting, so I thought I would just put a 3/4'' hose on tighten it real tight at the heater core, it didn't work. So can you replace the pressed in fitting in the water pump or could I just ream out the 5/8'' hose to fit over it? What do you guys think? Thanks Joe
they make a heater hose that has a 3/4 end for the water pump then a molded in 90 degree bend and goes to 5/8 hose and is around 3 ft long. you need to ask the parts store people if you can just go back and look at the hoses to find what will work.
Went to all the parts stores all the had was a fitting that had 5/8 and 3/4 ends. I was trying not to have a splice in the hose. It looks like the piece I ordered slides in the end of the 3/4 hose to make the end 5/8. PS I love Jegs, went, stopped by waffle house and had pancakes.
