Ok I have a holley 600 80457 with vacuum secondaries..Now the only vacuum line hooked up runs to the transmission module..I know the intake vacuum should be hooked up to one of the vacuum ports to open the secondaries but which port??? Also the vacuum port from the intake is plugged with a loop of smaller line on both ports on top of the main line. Has the previous owner changed something I need to look at??(ie) tried to make the carb manual secondaries?? I am having a studder/hesitation when I jump hard on the gas feels like it has to build up before she goes slow 60 foot times and was thinking the secondaries are not opening up...

I believe the secondary uses internal vacuum. No lines to hook up.

Poor 60' times can come from no traction, bog from highway gears, poor accel pump circuit tuning, ect...

I would start by going through the accel pump circuit and making sure that is squared away.

Oh yeah, your distributor should be hooked to the carb.
Uses the vacuum port on the side of the front block.

Ratio I have a msd ignition with electronic distributor..I Moved the line from the carb to the vacuum port from the manifold... With the new 1 inch spacer and this change I cannot get the tires to hook..Street radials on dry road. I am bringing up my rpms to around 2000 then launching and both wheels now spin and the ass walks all over...Seems like more power first time it has done this...even when I just mash the gas the tires break free on dry road...I think I am getting closer will see tomorrow night at the track hope the tires hook on the track...WIll post week two times tomorrow.

Holley vac secondaries are sourced vacuum through the carb no external hook up.Secondary openning rate is controlled by changing the spring in the diaphragm pot on the side of the carb.If you hooked your vacuum advance to the manifold, its pulling all your timing in at idle.(it shouldnt be done that way)If your car now has more grunt because of that configuration you should go back and tweak your timing/advance so it comes in that way with the vac hose hooked to the carb where it should be.AS far as traction.Sounds like you have a monster on your hands(COOL!!)Put some sort of traction bar on it if you havent allready.Good luck man! sounds like a hell of a ride(y)
