I'm new to the Maverick list and have been searching for anyone whos done a V6 swap. Has anyone? Is it worth the effort or should I stick with traditional 8?

Didn't see anything on adapting a turbo to the 6 either.

Will a module 4.6 fit between the shock towers without cutting?

By the way I'm picking up a 75 2 door Mav tomorrow for a daily driver. It has a six which is healthy but I want to stay on the look out for a potential engine upgrade.

No one that I know of has done the V6 swap. The small block Ford V8 is the best bet for swapping - really easy too. As far as putting a turbo on the inline 6 it can be done, and I am sure some of the inline 6 guys on here can get you some info. The 4.6 will not fit between the towers. It is HUGE!!! You can fit anything with enough time and money, but it's up to you. Anyway, good luck. A healthy small block is nothing to be ashamed of.

There was an MCCI member by the name of Napallo Somer that had a 2.8L V-6 in his Maverick. I think it was a 2.6L...it was out of a Pinto/Mustang II.
