Okay..here goes nothing. Just loaded them into photobucket.com...we'll see how this goes.. :D
Its gotta get uglier before it gets better....(what a mess..)

Paint stripped the paint off the car because it was going to lift with the new paint..(cheap maaco job..)

    The other side..

ohhh...just a little bit rotted.. this was a texas car...then transplanted to N.E. so by my standards this car is very solid for around here...(I am jealous of all you southern people... )

    More to come...still uploading...next batch

Okay these pics are a bit more pleasing...I am so psyched..this car is getting really close to the end...

Quarter panel looks a lot better in this pic...we ended up using 67-68 Mustang lower cheater panels, and drop off panels, and wheel arch patches...(shh..dont tell anyone..:evilsmile .I have a maverick/mustang hybrid...) Can't get maverick chaters, and I didnt feel the need for $170 full quarters that were probably of substandard quality (taiwan made)...I can't tell the difference...

Heres my first painted part hung on the car...I looove my new color...(viper GTS blue...the car might not end up being fast..but at least the color will make it look fast.. )

The other quarter...repaired the same way...Thank god the boyfriend does auto restoration for a day job...He has been working day an night on this car to get it finished for June 30...

    Ahh...now some pretty pictures...
that other piece behind my valance is the valance to the boyfriends current project for himself...1970 Mustang convertible...

The trunklid doesnt really have those circles in it...bad reaction to the flash...
Hopefully the next batch of pics will be of the car all assembled and the same color.with me driving it down the road..and maybe burning some tire..gotta get a line lock still..(add another part to the list!..ahh)
    ..few more weeks to go...

Thanks so much...I have my sights set on a carbon fiber hood for it in the near future..Ur still making those?...I know they are pricey.(about $700 shipped right??)..but I gotta have it..my hood has the typical maverick front lip rot...epoxy'ed them for now...just gonna run my hood in a flat black primer for the time being...while I save up for a CF one...if they are still around...whats the time to wait for one, out of curiousity...:yup:

Thanks...and as long as u are getting ur car going there is nothing to be embarrassed about...I am sure it will be a great car..and they are always just different degrees of a work in progres...be proud of your ride, no matter what!!!!!!!!

I am just lucky to have a boyfriend who can do all this work for me for "free"..(nothings ever really free is it.. )..I have been paying for 4 yrs..haha just kidding...but..This stuff costs so much money, I couldnt imagine having to pay a restoration shop to paint my car, or do the work. His job gets $10K+ to do cars..its crazy what people will pay...

Great project with very nice progress pics! Something to be proud of for sure. I think the Carbon Fiber hood will be a nice addition. (y) Keep us posted.

Looks good! Carbon fiber hood with that color would be awesome! What wheels are you going to put on it?

I think we used 67-68 patches...they did require a little bit of finesse...they werent exactly right...but the boyfriend made them work well...the curve out on the was a bit different, but we got them to work...it definitly was the closest we could find, and we were able to use the trunk drop offs from the same year mustang. worked out pretty well...when he is around again I will get some more detailed info on what he had to do...I was at work the nights that he did those. ..:)

For this summer the american racing rims that are on there are going to stay.but I will probably do some sort of 17 in rim with DOT tires to make it stick... to stay with the restomod style that I have going with the updated gauges, and CF hood.

..I have the parts to do the front disc conversion on the car, but since it is a 70 it is a 4 lug car..so I have to do the rear at the same time...(running out of money...!! this stuff is expensive...) I am going to end up with an 8.8 rear end,(disc posi hopefully...) and with the disc brakes in the front..cant order rims until I know what offsets I am going to need when the conversions are all done..

although I think I will be getting the CF hood before I do the conversion, and new rims...
