Under seat connectors

    Hello there, I have the 74' 250 I6 2door maverick. I found underneath the seat on both sides of the bench front seat, some type of electrical wiring with connectors. There is one on each side, the drivers and passengers. Curious as to what they are, they both go up into the firewall it appears- both were unplugged, I plugged them back in. If ya know what they might be please let me know. Thanks, Keith

    It tells the car when a seat was occupied. You needed to have your seat belt on in order for the car to operate. Many people bypassed this safety feature as it was a PITA to deal with. Set a bag of groceries on the seat and if it was heavy enough you would have to put the seat belt together to run the car.
