This may sound strange but, I was wondering If the turn signal lights in the grille are interchangeable. Orange to clear with different bezels for example.

The reason for this is i live in the UK and we require a clear/white side light to pass the vehicle MOT test. I have the clear glass lights with bezels but no grille to go with them and there is one on ebay for sale with the orange glass lights. Hope this makes sense

    Cheers

hello to a fellow european :)
the lenses are interchangeable, they were also used as sport lights on the 69/70 mustang. thus, they are (in clear) also available as a repro.

but as you have a 70 model, don't you have turn signal lights under the bumper? there are clear lenses for these as well. so you wouldn't have to change the complete grille...

They came two ways in clear lenses.

    Smooth and fluted clear plastic.

I see what your saying. My plan is to change the grille turn signals to side lights and use the original turn signals under the bumper as turn signals. I like the look of the later mavericks i think the lights on the grill breaks up the front a bit more. Thats the way i'm thinking. Thanks for the advise.
