AOD flexplate will work if it's a large bell C-4. My combo is a large bell C-4 from a 1977 Granada connected to a 85 302 from a T Bird that had an AOD. The large bell C-4's use the same flexplate as the AOD. As far as fitting the 70 tunnel, it should. The trannys are all the same size, it's only the bellhousing that is different, and the larger section of it will be in front of the tunnel/firewall. If I'm wrong, somebody will correct me.....

On my 69.5 (actually an early 70) maverick I had to do a little work with some heat and hammer around the trans tunnel,by the firewall,to set my c-4 in. 69.5 was a falcon based platform. Not sure about the later 70 mavs but I'm betting their the same.

c-4 should be a c-4.(sizewise)Bellhousing for a 200 is smaller.Thats where you will have to do a little massaging.(at the opening of the firewall.)In the past I've used c-4's from a truck, car in the same vehicle. The bell will be the difference.:)

i know that but the 200 i-6 had a v8 bellhousing installed on it becasue someone had a v-8 installed with the 200 i-6 but i knew it would be too weak for my engine

With the 302(5.0) I believe the tunnel will have to be reworked a little. It's been a while but iirc the 302 will sit a little higher,or sit farther back causing clearance issues at the firewall opening.

The truck C4 is the same size as any other c4 once you get past the bell housing. That bell housing area is the only place that you MIGHT have to modify. The actual tunnel will be fine, as will the mount for the transmission.
