When I was younger I decided to install a toploader 4 speed in my car. I used a Hurst Super Shifter III with straight rods. To make this work I did quite a job on my transmission tunnel. I want to repair this and thought I would section in a donor piece.

My question is since I am doing this repair would swapping in a larger 71 and up tunnel be an option, has anyone performed such a swap?

    it is an ...option...:yup:
would it be worth the gain...

maybe another option would be... cutting out the...stock tunnel...and fabbing a new one.
could be less work and be more of a gain...:thumbs2:

I think you have the skills either way...:Handshake
