Does the trans line need a full manifold vacuum port or a timed spark vacuum source?

Also I have a vacuum gauge in the dash. Is it ok to share (T-fitting) with the trans vacuum line?

Full vacuum, gauge in line fine. You'll be able to relate shift points with amount of vacuum.
