What is the usual tranny of choice when going from the i6 to a V8? Will a C4 last with a moderately built 302? I want to install a stall converter as well but I'm not sure if it's needed, or if it will have any ill effects on the tranny. I have finished building the motor and was thinking about trying to use the C4 from the i6. Is this wise? The tranny is good, should I put a shift kit in, will it help? Any info will help...also what was the tranny of choice for those who did the same motor swap. Thanks in advance!
Hey that's my screen name I guess imitation is the best form of flattery C4 is the easiest to stick in mav. You need to have that c4 built for the v8 though.
Yeah they do say that about imitation huh....I wouldn't mind imitating getting my Mav as "hooked" as a lot of you and the some other guys on here Thanks for the info, I was hoping all would be good!
C4 will work fine. It would probably be a good idea to have the C4 thats in there rebuilt to handle the power.
