hi, im changing the heads in my 302 1970 maverick, i already take them off but i realize that maybe im going to have some problems to torque them down, because of the shock tower interference whit my torquer wrench.

    any ideas?

    thanks.

i have a 1975 mav. i swapped heads and torqued them in the car on a 302. the right collection of shallow and deep sockets & different length socket extensions will do the job.

Keep extensions down to a minimum or best, none at all. Longer extensions can flex.

a whole lot of patience... and move the torque wrench around to find the best fit... i could not torque a couple... but i made it as tight as i possibly could...so far so good
