Has anyone here had any dealings with NEWSTALGIA wheels out of Chattanooga? Reason I ask is because they seem to have a hell of a deal on American Mag "TorqThrust" and 225/60/15 tires, Goodrige TA's) shipped to your door (with center caps and locking lug nuts) for $985.00. I have these TA's on one of my Mav's but not sure if it's a 15x6 or 15x7 wheel (there Z racing wheels) so I ask will the 15x7 fit with out problems? There is no way I can beat this price here in the bay area, and no tax, free shipping (don't know how long that is) Help!
I think Newstalgia Wheels is part of the Coker family of Coker Tires, in Chattanooga. Coker is the premier provider of anything to do with nostalgia tires and wheels. Corky Coker, President of Coker Tire, just recently won the Meguiars Car Person of the year award. David Coker is president of Newstalgia Wheels. Family resemblence?
Never heard of them, may have to check them out. I bet like HawkCo said... part of the Coker family. I could prob get those wheels here locally a lot cheaper however. I got a set of 15x8 Aluminum wheels with the Ultra finish (never have to polish) and a set of Firestone firehawk 265/60s for my old truck for right at 800... I'll see what i can find locally on those wheels/tires
95 "hit's" and no one can answer if they fit or not.I guess no one has this wheel and tire on there car,I'll let you all know how they fit as soon as I get them.
I have American five-spoke wheels (14x7) with 210/70R-14 tires. I have no problems. But, you're going for a little wider tire, probably close to the same height, though.
Tom; I have American wheels, 15X7, and TA's. The tires I use are 225X60X15 up front, and 235's out back (you have plenty of room). No rubbing issues on either end. The backspacing on my wheels is 4.5". Hope that answers your question. Sorry took so long.
I have Torque Thrust D's on my car with 275/60-15 in the back and 165/80-15 up front, the back rubs but only when a large person is back there.
Hey Funkranger, let's see pics of your car with those 275s and 165s. Would mine rub with the 2" lift i have on the rear?
Tom, I had 15x7" TQ-Thrust Ds with 3-3/4" backspacing and 225/60-15s on the front of my Maverick and they rubbed the outter fender lip on tight turns. This was partly due to the fact that I lowered the front 1-5/8". I wouldn't go any wider than a 215 up front with those wheels. 245s on the rear fit perfectly with the stock rearend. I'm going to go with some Magnums with the 4-1/4" backspace so I can run my 225s up front and I'll eventually get a Granada rear for the back so that the rears sit outward a little more...
