Tires are in!

I'm excited. The tires came in from tirerack.com I paid $198 and I just need to have them mounted now and Bryant and I are gonna have the rear end installed.

 

I gotta check them out.

 

I'm not up on current tire numbers - I'm from the ol' G-60 days. Could you tell me what width rim do you need for those tires and how wide is the tire mounted? Thanks

 

Glad you got your tires but dont say I didnt warn you about that tread. Better gravel guard the quarter bottoms. Just did mine yesterday with a high end clear gravel guard. Doing the bottom of the rockers next week.
You likely bought them for the same reason I did. Cant beat the price. I paid just over 100 each Canadian.

 

those tires would fit a 15x8 rim

and if i remember correctly the tread touching the ground is 9"

 

yea the rims are 15x8
the tires definitely have a lot of thread, kinda scary but its alright . . . I'll bondo the ridges!

i got both for 198. that's not bad right? I was pretty happy with the price and according to others BFG is a good brand. Where can I get these guys mounted? auto shop should do it right?

 

those are the same as mine, Radial TA's 225/60/15 on 15x8 wheels only difference is i paid something like $300...

 

Make sure you take it to a place where you can see that they use plenty of lube. Get new valve stems while your at it.

What size of this same tire would be good for the fronts? Would the fronts call for a 6 inch rim?

 

i'm not too sure. i have the 15x8 wheels all around with the 225/60/15 tires.

 

Those are 255/60/15 according to the sticker.
