when installing inner tie rods how far do i need to screw them in? on side i literally counted the number of threads before i pulled it out to install the new one, i forgot to do this on the passenger side :slap: but i did adjust it to the same amount as the driver side now the passenger side spindle is faceing more outward than the driver side spindle but that could be due to the fact that the car needs to be re-aligned after all the front end work i have done.

This is how I do it to get it to the front end shop for alignment. Center your steering wheel and lock it if you can. Start like you have and make both sides even, meaning the same amount of threads of both the inner and outer tie rods into the tie rod adjusting sleeve. Then make left and right sides the same. Mount your outer rie rod in the spindle so it can't turn. Set the car on the ground and get a tape, measure as close as you possibly can to the center of the tire front to back, imagine a horizontal line through the center of the tire, and you are measuring from front of the L or R to the front of the opposite tire and then the same to the back side of both tires. Pick a tread or a line in the tread that is the same all the way around. You want the front to measure about 1/8" shorter than the rear. If they are not there which it sounds like yours has alot of toe out, adjust both adjusting sleeves the same amount until you get it. each time you make an adjustment let the car down and roll it back and forth to get the tires where they are going to ride. This is not exact but it will get you to the alignment shop without eating your tires along the way.
