Well here is a question for all you guys/girls out there, what are your opinions on shift kits for the c-4 trannys? I have heard mixed views. If you like them what brand do you suggest? If not, why? Thanks. Jeri
Jeri; I used the TCI kit in mine. Much firmer shifts, better feel. It is a good investment because it extends the life of the trans by not letting the clutches slip as much between gear changes.
i build my on manual reverse shift valve body for the strip it takes some time to do it has no moveing parts in the valve body but the pressure regulator valve & manual control valve i have pictures of it if you would like to try it i get about 170 lb of pressure with it has no governor or vacuum modulator i cut the governor houseing off only use a small part of it to hold the park brake pin in i use seven thrust bearings in it. for the street-strip the trans-go (62.44) kit is super it has more parts than most kits but it can be used full manual forward are automatic shift for c-4 parts call 214-381-4431 at MAKCO DISTRIBUTING INC ASK FOR MARK
