When I read that Car Craft article about the AFR back yard rebuild I said thats for me, ya know 400 HP on the cheep. I sent the block in had it cleaned and checked for cracks, it was a good candidate so I started to get parts and after a while I started to hone the cylinders and I'm standing there looking at the parts saying (I talk to my self a lot) those guys at carcraft didn't plan of running that motor to long and I could end up doing this all over again soon,So after talking to my self some more I decided to take a few extra steps. The block went back to get a 30 over bore and I got the Kieth Black I-Con pistons. I got the block back and I wouldn't get the rods, crank, and pistons back from balancing until next week. Looking forward to the build.Heres some of the parts.:bouncy:

Don't forget to upgrade the rod bolts, it's a simple thing.

If you want to get that stuff out of your house, I could probably store it at my house, in my garage, in my motor, in my car. :tiphat:

I have been following a rite-up about a 347 also,In MMFF. April it was the short block,pg 84. IN Mays issue,pg 76, it was about the rest of the block. Now waiting for Junes issue which discusses the Dyno results. Can't wait.

There are also past issues about AFR heads on 347s and rarious other engine combos from the early 2006- 2009 car craft and MMFF. Also comparisons with different heads on the same blocks.

Also a big rite up about 302 blocks(12) and there pros and cons. The Mexican 302 with more nickle content is just a wives tail. THat block is stronger because of webbing in the needed places. Being stuck at home has made me do more research into 302 engines and there is a ton of reading material about any item you want to look up.Ck it out JMO:tiphat:
