Ok, everyone, do any of you know where I could purchase a Drag-N-Fly kit for my mav? Does a company possibly make them still? Or does someone have one/ know how to get one? I'm not looking to purchase one now, but I was curious how much I could get one for, so when it comes time that I have a lil extra dinero(?) to spend, I could go ahead and know how much to save to get it... thanks again, guys, you're the best! (y)

I been maverkin since 1974 and have never even seen one. I am sure a kit exists out there, somewhere in a long lost bin of parts. Cost? Dont know. I do know of 2 people in the MCCI that actually have the cars. Dont think they can be bought. Best of luck to ya and DONT give up.

I am sure you can piece parts together and make your own.
The front end is off a Datson or something.
The ground effects and rear spoiler can be fabbed.....definitely not the most appealing look IMO, but defintely a neat piece of history and I am sure it would make for a great conversation piece!

Don't judge my dreams.... You can't just put down someone's ambitions like that... That was very rude... I think I'm a lil hurt... But now for a lighter subject... :bananaman there......

A dude looks for his dreams, and people got to give their opinion. I will never understand that. Go for your dream dude.

That is a Drag-N-Fly? :yikes: I can't believe they would do that to a Maverick. It looks like a a Datsun 240. Definatley not for me, but far be it from me to squish another man's dream. You go! Good luck finding that kit! Just please tell me your not gonna make it beige and brown like that awful thing. How about green? :D

If you like the car, go for it. But don't expect everyone else to love it. I see that body kit as being on the same level as mixing Chevy engines and Ford cars (or vice versa) and suspect you would get similar feedback at a show. Some will love it, some won't.

I personally don't like it at all, but it's your car and if you like it, thats all that matters.

How can anyone "air" their 'dream' on a public (world-wide even) forum and not expect opinions? You're entitled to your dreams, and if you don't want opinions, keep your dreams to yourself.

I'm sorry but the Drag-N-Fly was a joke of a car. You don't have to agree.

Might as well just get a Datsun 280-Z. Looks very similar but a lot less ugly. I saw one last week with a V-8 and a wing on the back. Actually looked respectable...
