Thanks for all the wonderful replys, I went over to the guys house tonight and to look at the car and it's pretty straight from what i could see other than surface rust but it is blue on the bottom and white on the top like a Sprint but i really can't tell if it has the flag on the quarter, it has a 250-6 in it and vinyl seats interior pretty nice had about it looked like 98,900 or so miles on it said the wheel cylinders in the back were locked up he would have to have about 1100 to 1200 for it didn't know if that was a fair price but he did mention something about it's a collectors items which leans me more to a Sprint the way he said that, and i didn't want to shoot him a price to low and upset and lose all hope of getting it so i kept asking until he said that. So if anyone has pics of sprints please send them to me and or is there something in the vin i should look for any information would be greatly appreciated... sorry Green Bay Packers Fan....Bo
Since Sprints were only produced in '72, the first number in the VIN will naturally be a "2". The trim code used for Sprints was "RB". For pics of mine, follow the link to my homepage below. Keep in mind that mine was repainted by a previous owner, so the flags on the rear quarters are gone. For a more pristine example, check out Mavaholic's car in this thread: http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=1238&highlight=sprint+finally
Sometimes, if it was repainted, the door data sticker might be sanded off. I have also seen where they get faded so bad you cant read them. If this is the case, the only other way to tell if it was a Sprint is to get the report from Marti Autoworks. If the car is really nice, its probably worth the money wether its a Sprint or not. http://books@martiauto.com/
