I have been e-mailing and calling Chuck & Trudi for the last couple months....well Chuck finally called me this weekend!
They will be at the Round-up (As of now) Chuck is trying to get a tranny shifter :) and a few other things done to his car before the trip. His list he told me was long...not sure if time will allow him to get it all done, but if so it will be a nice surprise.
I just thought some might want to know.

It would be great if he could get a shifter instead of just reaching thru the floorboard hole and shifting the tranny by hand. :)

Oh...that Chuck!!! I was clueless until you said that. I would have left that car alone. The ultimate budget survivor.

Its more than just the body, This car is a marvel of costless ingenuity. In a way, I was sad to here he was going to restore it.

Yeah, the Pep Boys turn signal lights, the litre Coke bottle for a shifter knob, boom box on the back seat for "stereo", etc. The list could go on and on. I remember he won a gift certificate for Autokrafters, wonder what he got with it?

chuck said the 1st thing on his list was a shifter....
he mentioned painting it before the Round-up....but seems to me there would not be enough time....we shall see!
