went to Summit today...got me a MSD Dist...Starter died... got the dist. in and fired it up ...shut it off to lock the dist. down, then went to fire it back up and ............................................flat line. ... ...postal time...
I'm sure this is not the case on your car, but I had dirty electrical connections on the solenoid cause my starter to act like it was dead. Cleaned them all up and haven't had a problem since.
Yea....Go get Effie .........When it does this again....turn the motor by the crank pulley.....now, after ars and elbows are clear, try to start with the key......if it starts. Pull the tranny, Ya may have broke a tooth off the flywheel
Sorry to hear that Frank, it seems just when things get all lined out another problem pops up. Maybe you should just give the car to Effie and find you another one. Franks Friend Isaac ... ...
Frank, I told you that I thought the "Ghost" (long story) had taken up residence in your Maverick and you just laughed and didn't believe it. Well?
"If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all" (sung to the tune of "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"). I feel for you, Frank. I know first hand how frustrating it can get. I don't even wanna go back and revisit my "electric demon" woes. Take a break, come back in a day or two and look at it again. You might see something you've missed - maybe, maybe not. It's almost sounding like it's a broken wire or loose connection now. Best of luck, my friend, Frank.
I just went back and read his previous threads on this subject and I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!!! He had Travis Tritt working on that car. What does a honky tonk singer know about cars?
