What is everyone useing for their rebuilt steering column? I know there is some type of bushing that goes around the shaft that the rag joint bolts to, and allows that shaft to slide up within the outer shaft w/o play.

What bushing is that, and what does it look like? Oh, and where can I get it?

Is it that $14 dollar bushing that AK has?

    thanks!(y)

I never rebuild a steering column. Never needed to. I would see no real need to rebuild it.

Not sure on the part #. I have seen the bottom bushing or bearing (thinking it's a bearing) If it's good, you should be able to push back up and carefully peen the outer housing to keep from falling out. Will try and look at one and see if I can better for you.
