    Hello,
I am new here and have found your forum very informative! I just bought a 69.5 mav and love it! I had a few questions though....

I plan on swapping a c4/302/9inch in it in about a year. It currently needs new suspension. Wondering if I could put in v8 rear leafs and v8 coils up front with v8 KYB shocks all around without rattleling my teeth out. Also, it is manual steering, I read an old article on how to make the ratio faster, wondering what parts I could use to make the wheel lock less. I ordered an auto krafters catalog, any other places you recommend to purchase parts from? Other than that, I thank those who reply to this.

Welcome to the board. If you post your needs on parts here in the parts wanted section, you would be surprised at the amount of stuff available from the good people right here. I will yield the tech questions to those who know more about that than I do.

I got my 73 mav in october.. and so far i have done all the steering, suspension, new carb, seats, gauges, with the help of this site and fordmavericks.com.. for my suspension i used moroso spring for a 93 mustang all the way around i just cut off one full coil for the front to give it that dip then i used some i think Koni shocks in the front and edelbrock performer ias shock
for the back but its already time for me to replace them only after 2 months so i wouldnt do what i did

Coil springs in the rear? I coulda sworn mavs have leafs. Just wondering if I do this if it will be too stiff or still be liveable. Thanks for the replies.
