Can anyone help please. I'm in the UK and i have just bought some sport mirrors for my maverick from ebay. They are different size/shape, but only slightly. My question is are they ment to be different on each side? They do have some numbers on the glass the R/H one has: 8-AX-85 and the other has 11-AX-85. I just want to make sure before i contact the guy. Thanks.

    :Welcome:

My glass has no such codes. And looking at those codes, it looks like a date code for 1985 .... :hmmm:

Look up into the bottom of the base. There should be a FORD logo and a number like D0DB-17743-CW (my drivers side) or D0DB-17713-AW (my passenger side)

If it doesn't have those D0DB type part numbers, it may not be a Maverick mirror.

They should be the same size and shape for both sides, only difference would be the left and right orientation, and the left has the cables for the remote. Sounds like you might have gotten taken....
