speedo cable issue?

    Hey guys, im trying to figure out why my maverick speedo cable wont fit in my t-5 transmission it sticks out about a quarter of an inch. i feel that that end of the speedometer cable is too long after the plastic gear. any ideas? different speedo gear? any help would be great thanks.

    When I bought my T5 they included a new gear. It is definitly different than the toploader gear I had.

    yeah i just trimmed mine down a little it should be fine. who needs a speedo anyway lol

    Yeah they're always wrong, "but officer I couldn't have been going 95 MPH in a 35 zone, my speedo must be wrong"...
