So I picked up a set of '74 Comet spindles to do the front disc brake swap. I got all the new parts together from O 'Reilly's (where I work) and the retaining clip/bracket won't go in but a third of the way. Is this normal? On the original setup I could slide the clip almost all the way in and tap it in the final quarter of an inch. Has anyone run into this problem?

Are they new retainers??? If so...You have to knock em in with a punch/hammer.

They're not, but they are new calipers if that makes a difference

When I installed my disc brakes they had to be hammered in all the way.. Put the brake grease on them and tap them in you'll be good to go...

Well it looks like I had the angle wrong, and considering we were wrapping up at 4 in the morning on Sunday, I'm not surprised. But we got it done today! Now for a little test drive :chirp:
